As a leader in our field, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental (HSE) practices. We are seeking a highly effective HSE Professional to support our Midwestern and Eastern region plants.

As a member of the HSE team, you will be instrumental in supporting and advancing our HSE programs across 17 key facilities, including chemical manufacturing, processing and laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Health & Safety Department contact for our Midwestern and Eastern region plants.
  • Lead and support HSE Assessments at process plants to identify hazards and environmental risks. Lead and develop needed corrective actions, and support the plants with implementation.
  • Play a crucial role in supporting Process Safety Management (PSM) and risk reduction strategies.
  • Develop and refine HSE procedures, training programs and initiatives to enhance safety and compliance across all operations.
  • Analyze and interpret government regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA and others) to ensure compliance and prepare for future changes.
  • Lead incident investigations and conduct thorough root cause analysis.
  • Assist in completing environmental reports and managing hazardous waste and air permitting activities.
  • Develop and assist in implementing environmental plans and emergency response strategies.
  • Engage in medical monitoring and respiratory protection programs.
  • Support the implementation of a VPP campaign.
  • Able to respond to incidents as needed around the clock, with up to 30% travel.

 

Profile

What you will bring:

  • A BS degree in Engineering, Science or a related HSE discipline, with an advanced degree or HSE professional certification, is highly preferred.
  • Three or more years of HSE-related experience in chemical manufacturing or process industries.
  • Process Safety Management program experience.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess regulations and develop compliance strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position will be located in Oklahoma or Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Must be able to climb ladders, lift 25 pounds, and walk for up to four hours per day. 
  • Must be able to be full-face respirator certified.
